Hello!
My name is Alyssa Bryn Herring I was born in the beautiful state of Colorado. I was first introduced to photography through my mother, we used to drive around photographing anything beautiful or interesting that we saw. In school I truly found my passion, it felt like I had finally found something that came naturally to me.
I attended college at an art school in Colorado where I received my Bachelors in Commercial Photography. It was here I decided to combine my interest in fashion and beauty with photography and truly explore what my creative style is. My style of photography has always revolved around light, bright and colorful.
After graduation I moved to Manhattan, New York to pursue fashion photography. Once I got there, I was immediately in love with everything. The craziness of the city and maddening amount of people were weirdly my favorite parts. It allowed me the chance to explore who I was and who I wanted to be without judgement, if I walked down the street in a crazy outfit people wouldn’t even look twice, and that can be incredibly freeing. In NYC I had fantastic career opportunities to work for several different photographers and art galleries. Each taught me valuable skills and knowledge but none more than the photographer who taught me I didn’t want that life for myself. I weighed the lifestyle of a fashion photographer in New York City to a lifestyle in Colorado with my family. Both had their positives and negatives, but I had to go with the option that had the most positives. Spoiler alert… I picked my family, and my nephew is the cutest!
Back home nestled in the Colorado Rocky Mountains I am excited to keep producing art and see where this world takes me.
